2017 Medicare Advantage Disenrollment Information
Medicare Advantage Disenrollment Period (MADP) will occurs from January 1, 2017 through February 14, 2017. During this time period, if you are dissatisfied with your Medicare Advantage Plan, or if your physician is not an in-network provider with your plan, you may have the option to disenroll from your plan and return to traditional Medicare.
- You may only switch back to traditional Medicare during the disenrollment period; you will not be able to change to a different Medicare Advantage Plan until October 2017.
- If you do decide to change back to traditional Medicare during this period, you will have until February 14 to join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan to add drug coverage. Coverage will begin on the first day of the month after the plan receives your enrollment form.
If you are satisfied with your current Medicare Advantage Plan, then no action is required.
